I’m Natalie, I founded Soak Society, wellness bath soaks for women who know their me-time is important to daily success. We use all natural salts, clays and organic essential oils only, nothing else!
I know how easy it is for women to be ‘givers’ and neglect to take care of themselves. With my brand, I encourage women to take time out to reconnect, feel rejuvenated and relaxed. I’ve always been passionate about natural beauty products and avoiding chemicals in all areas of your life, so starting a business 2.5 years ago that allowed me to follow my passion just felt right. I love what I do and am constantly looking for ways to expand and add new products that complement soaking!
Wake up, put the coffee on, meditate for 10-15 minutes before coffee, quick shower, coffee and breakfast (usually muesli and coconut yoghurt) while reading a magazine, the whole time trying not to check emails (I usually fail).
Drive to Soak Society HQ in Coolum Beach, sometimes stopping for another coffee! I love the drive past beautiful First Bay, looking at the ocean in the mornings is amazing!
Start work, smash out the most important emails (I like to keep a neat inbox #typeApersonality), then assess the most important tasks for the day and assign tasks to my production assistant Zita. A normal day might be packing orders, making our wellness soaks, liasing with graphic designers and web experts, organising collaborations, it varies!
We usually head down to the beach for lunch and sit in the sun to have a break! I love New Earth cafe in Coolum for healthy raw vegan wraps and cold pressed juice.
We’ll work until 5 or 6pm and then I’ll head home and either go to yoga, a bike ride, for a walk on the beach or go to Samba dance class. I try to leave work at work and only check emails a few times a night. I’ll schedule social media posts during the day too.
I love cooking vegetarian meals with my partner (well I cook and he cleans every night!). We love our nights together, we both try to ‘switch off’ because he also runs his own company. We’ll play a few games of Uno while we eat dinner then watch Narco’s, The Getdown or a documentary on Netflix!
Bedtime is early. I love to burn a candle in the bedroom, or put lavender or eucalyptus essential oil in the humidifier. Not going to lie, there’s usually a cup of herbal tea and a treat every night – some dark chocolate or a biscuit!
What's your best skin care tip?
Use a really good exfoliator every second day, with AHA in it. Your skin will feel smooth and soft.
Favourite way to pamper yourself?
Put my phone on airplane mode so there’e no interruptions, lock the bathroom door, fill the tub, put on a face mask, light a candle, grab a book or magazine and soak!
What's your secret indulgence?
At the moment, watching The Bachelorette and eating passionfruit cream biscuits!
