10 Nutrition Tips
1. Eat a protein rich breakfast

Protein is vital for a healthy body, energy, weight loss and maintaining healthy skin of course. Always start your day with a protein rich breakfast like a smoothie, eggs or homemade muesli/porridge with nuts and seeds.

2. Choose oily cold-water fish

like salmon, tuna, mackerel and sardines. These fish are rich in omega-3 essential fatty acids, which are known for their anti-inflammatory benefits, but also anti-ageing and beneficial for our skin. The good fats help nourish and protect your skin, and leave your hair silky and shiny.

3. A kiwi a day!

Kiwi fruits contain over 100% of our daily-recommended intake of Vitamin C, all in just one piece of this low sugar fruit! Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant which helps boost our immune system, prevent colds, reduces skin pigmentation and produces collagen for firm and toned skin.

4. Eat foods for your gut

Foods rich in beneficial bacteria help restore healthy gut function, which is the centre to our immune system, skin and overall health. Including foods such as sauerkraut, kimchi, kefir, kombucha and natural Greek yoghurt in your diet helps maintain healthy digestion and skin health. You can also take a daily probiotic supplement.

5. Snack on 30g raw almonds each day

A healthier alternative to packaged chips and crackers. Almonds are rich in protein, good fats and Vitamin E, which is an important skin nutrient.

6. Ditch the soft drinks and fruit juices

They contain artificial sweeteners and sugars which are not only bad for the waistline but can harm your health. So switch these sugary drinks with a sparkling mineral water or freshly squeezed vegetable juice.

7. Chlorophyll

this plan pigment has cleansing and alkalizing properties which supports liver detoxification, protects our skin and improves digestion. You can buy organic liquid chlorophyll which is a nice alkalizing drink to enjoy between meals, or especially after consuming caffeine.

8. Eat antioxidant rich foods

blueberries, strawberries, kiwi fruit, kale, spinach, broccoli, beetroot, red capsicums. Antioxidants are protective against free-radical damage, preventing ageing and protect against chronic disease.

9. Avocados

rich in healthy fats and skin loving nutrients Vitamin C and E, avocado is a great addition to any fresh salad or morning smoothie.

10. Raw cacao

rich in magnesium, a mineral which is needed for muscle relaxation, good sleep, energy production and to regulate our stress response. Adding raw cacao to a post workout smoothie is the perfect recovery meal, which also helps quench any chocolate craving.
